GIVE AWAY:
Every year we have a give away open to the community.
PANTRY:
We have a small food pantry that is for members and those of
the community that are in need of food.
HOT COCOA:
We pass out free Hot Cocoa at the local Christmas Parade
ICC:
Two members are part of the Illinois Christian Camp board.
Different members work at the camp each year; teaching,
counseling, running the kitchen, crafts, etc..
We also sponsor children in the congregation or community who
can't afford to go otherwise.
NURSING HOME:
We have a weekly Bible Study at Bement Health Care Center and
Take children there a couple times a year.
HARVEST PARTY:
We have a party each fall for children, their family and those
young at heart.
LADIES' VALENTINE DINNER:
The men serve the women and their lady friends a set down
dinner (no one has been poisoned).
SYS/SSYS :
Summer Youth Series/Second Sunday Youth Series. Youth from
central Illinois get together at different congregations. We attend
and host this event.
CAROLING:
We carol at one of the local nursing homes and at different
residences.
CHILDREN'S HOME:
We financially support Shults Lewis Children's Home
2007 (Jul) Doug Winder did a campaign in Lewisham, England.
2006 (Nov) Mission trip to inner city St Louis
2004 the Winders went with a group of 9 others to Kenya to work
with children orphan schools for 2 weeks.
2004 Doug & Dawn went back to Guyana, South America to
encourage the church and missionaries there.
